Report to the Community

Dear Families,

Exciting things are happening at Arcadia Elementary School academically and socially, as well as in language development and with character education. We are committed to excellence, and our students are given opportunities to move along their continuum of learning through innovative programs and teaching strategies.

The mission of Arcadia Elementary School is to establish a strong foundation for lifelong        learning by challenging and nurturing all students toward their maximum potential, while providing an environment which promotes success toward college and career readiness.

Arcadia Elementary School is committed to promoting excellence while ensuring academic, personal, physical, and social development for each child. The number one goal of our faculty and staff is to meet the needs of our students and families. We serve K5 through 5th graders.

Our commitment to creating an environment of lifelong learning at Arcadia Elementary School provides opportunities for students in the academic, social, and civic arenas during and after school hours as well as during our summer program. Our after school program is until 6:00 PM daily. The complete summer program is 7:30 – 3:00.

Our students receive many other services from the greater community. Wofford College, Converse College, and USC Upstate send volunteer mentors and tutors to work with students. We have an annual health fair that allows community members to come in and learn about special services that are offered to Spartanburg residents.

Our dedicated, hardworking faculty and staff set high expectations for all students. Arcadia’s families are key partners in nurturing an atmosphere of merit and personal achievement.

Sincerely,
Arcadia Faculty/Staff
