A Message from Mr. Seegars
A Letter from the Principal…
Dear Arcadia Family Members,
We are excited to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. We hope that you enjoyed a wonderful summer and that you were able to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. Whether you are new to Arcadia or a returning Gator, we look forward to our time together this year.
At Arcadia, we are committed to the common goals of growing responsible, caring students and providing a challenging, safe learning environment. We share this responsibility for your child’s success, and we welcome and value your input as we work to make Arcadia a great place for all. We are excited for the learning that will take place, the relationships we will build, and the memories we will make.
We are fortunate to have a tremendous group of dedicated individuals at Arcadia Elementary. Many worked over the summer in various capacities. Thank you to our custodial staff who worked hard preparing Arcadia for the upcoming year. Thank you to our wonderful office staff who worked this summer assisting with registration, organizing records, and ordering supplies. Thank you to our cafeteria staff who worked preparing and serving meals to students in our summer programs. Thank you to our school nurse and our school resource officer who worked the summer programs to help to keep us healthy and safe. Thank you to our teachers and support staff who spent hours over the summer preparing materials, creating inviting classrooms, and planning for the upcoming year.
We are pleased to welcome new additions to the Gator family. Keisha Sims will serve as a fourth grade teacher, Anais Alvarez will serve as our school psychologist, and Angie Neal will serve as our speech-language pathologist. We look forward to working with them this year and thankful to have their talents at Arcadia.
Again, welcome to Arcadia Elementary and to the 2019-2020 school year. We are grateful to have you as part of our learning community and look forward to an exciting and successful new year.
Please do not hesitate to call me if I can be of service.
